Fundraising update: Wellington City Mission
Published Thursday, 10 April 2008 by thehinitiative in fundraising update, Wellington City Mission
If you've bought one of thehinitiative's Wellington City Mission tees, you've helped raise $555.95 in the past year (Feb'07 to Feb'08)! It may not seem much for the year (most of the sales were wholesale to stores, hence prices/sales/giving were a lot less), but it has definitely helped out in one of these ways:
- Placement of two students into permanent employment in the Mission's new ‘Transition to Work’ scheme.
- Two months transport costs for an Elder Support Worker visiting clients throughout Wellington.
- One years fee to the Correspondence School for a student at Mission for Youth.
- Eight food parcels for a medium sized family.
- 15 lunches in the Drop-in Centre (part of Mission for Independence).
- Three weeks breakfast for 15 troubled teenagers at their Alternative Education Centre.
